How To Make A Wood and Vinyl Holiday Sign by Alex Vanover


This project can be made with the Explore Air 2, Explore 3, Maker, Maker 3, & Joy (Due to the size limitations for the Joy, you may need to alter the size of the design but the materials used in the project can be cut with the Cricut Joy.)

  • Wood blank
  • Standard grip cutting mat
  • Permanent vinyl
  • Transfer tape
  • Weeding tools
  • Painters tape
  • Sandpaper
  • Hanging hardware and nails
  • Hammer
  • Medicine cups

The next materials you need will depend on how you prep your wood


  • Stain in your color of choice
  • Staining rag
  • Polyurethane
  • Foam brush


  • Paint of choice
  • Paint brushes
  • Water-based Polycrylic
